Lexy McDonald is a fearless changemaker, mental health innovator, and founder of the HerHelp app, a life-changing digital community born from her own experiences with bullying at just 17. Rooted in resilience, empathy, and bold vision, Lexy’s story proves that meaningful impact has no age limit.

From Personal Pain to Purposeful Platform

After facing bullying in high school, Lexy set out to create what she wished she had at the time, a space where young people could feel supported, safe, and empowered. Teaching herself to code through YouTube videos, she built and launched the HerHelp app during Year 12.

What began as a personal project has now grown into a multi-million dollar company serving users worldwide. HerHelp offers practical, youth-friendly resources that cover everything from mental wellness and fitness to self-esteem, friendships, and financial education. The app reflects Lexy’s mission: to make mental health support accessible to all, while breaking down stigma and encouraging open conversations.
